PURPOSE STATEMENT
The purpose of this CD-ROM is to educate health care professionals on the clinical challenges in treating multiple myeloma. Topics, including how to best integrate new drugs into current treatment practices, combination and/or sequence for using them, determining optimal approaches for treating older patients with multiple myeloma, the impact of comorbid conditions, and how to optimize supportive care, will be reviewed. The presentation, Evolving Care for Multiple Myeloma, was originally broadcast on July 15, 2008.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
AUDIENCE
This program has been designed for physicians, nurses, clinical pharmacy staff, and allied health care professionals involved with diagnosing and treating patients with multiple myeloma.
OBTAINING CREDIT
Method of Instruction
Participants should read the educational objectives, review the CD-ROM presentation in its entirety, and complete the online registration form, evaluation, and post-test. The post-test consists of a series of multiple-choice questions. Upon completion of this activity as designed and achieving a passing score 75% or greater on the post-test, participants will receive a certificate of credit awarding AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, pharmacy credit, or nursing credit. All other health care professionals will receive a certificate of completion. Participants will also receive a copy of the post-test answer key. Estimated time to complete this activity as designed is 1 hour. A letter of credit will be awarded immediately after successful completion of the program.
